Words of wizdom from the people who know better Help and advice would be great, thank you for your time in advance. ( Sorry for the drawn out post) Hi all ill try and keep this short and sweet so I dont put you all to sleep. I am 24 years old and in need of some words of wizdom. I left school with 9 GCSE which hardly makes me a scholar. I was torn between military tradition and Uni. I chose the army and after 6 years service I left to persue a career as a trader. I have served in Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan and would hope that my time served has at least provided me with life experience if anything else. I was employed as a sales exec for 7 months in london seling software to many financial and legal firms in the city. I have been employed by Rathbones in the Channel Island for 6 months now. I have been promoted to bookkeeper in this short amount of time. I have started to study ACCA and hope that this would demonstrate my technical and analytical ability. Once a qualified accountant I would like to employed as a trainee futures trader. Would it be best to go through middle office? Am I going in the right direction? am I to old to get my foot in the door. I am also studying the SII certs via distant learning. Please give me all the advice you can and if you think im just a dreamer then please let me know.Im willing to comute to London from the channel island. critics are welcome. ( Not so short in the end ) ryangillespie 2/18/08
