TCA Futures Anyone heard of TCA Futures Ltd (a uk based prop I think). They require you to front up £7.8K for training and then give you a £100k trading fund. Profit split 50/50. Is this standard practice or are they having a laugh? Grateful for your thoughts. Tom Meldrum 2/6/08

Posted by tick crawler - May 21 2008 @ 1:32 PM Re: TCA Futures i'd been considering the TCA programme too. had been trying to find people who are trading remotely for them to get an opinion from, but they have now posted a bunch of feedback from trainees and traders on their website, so i'm going to take another look at it all Posted by Tom Meldrum - Apr 3 2008 @ 11:48 AM Re: TCA Futures Interesting comments. I've had a phone interview with them. I'm massively sceptical and will not be taking it any further (at least for the moment) until I can get some independent opinion on these guys. What I do know: You have to show a profit at the end of each month or they pull the plug. It only has to be £1 profit, but it must be there. Clearly they make their money through the commission - so encourage a high turnover from you. Given this... I think their 50/50 split is not very generous. Anyone got any more? Has anyone heard of Marex and if so what are they like? Posted by mark_varney47 - Feb 17 2008 @ 5:29 PM Re: TCA Futures I had interview with Futex last summer, about a FX options trading system that i had developed.Even though it generated 30% return in 6 months of testing, they weren't interested in funding me as a trader. What I am trying to say is that these places look for large turnover from you as a trader, so that they get their commission. They don't care if you make a profit or not. Also on #100k I would think you would need to be damn good to make a living without blowing up from the massive leverage required.
