What happens when you mix two parts Wall Street and three parts artists? Answer: a really fun party!

CreativeTime, a non-profit based in lower Manhattan, sponsors innovative art in public spaces across the country.

At Guastivinos, it held a fundraising gala that was completely sold out at $1500 a ticket. Everyone from traders at Goldman Sachs to rockstar artists such as Leo Villareal came to show their support. David Ross, former director of the Whitney Musuem, told me that CreativeTime actually is one of his favorite charities. He had been a supporter since the early days years ago.

In any case, from a “hipness” standpoint, this crowd couldn’t be beat. So if you’re looking for a great cause to park your money while also networking with (or hitting on) exciting, interesting, and good-looking people in the City, come become a supporter of CreativeTime. It will be worth the investment.
