Inside Supercars Car. According to my parents this was the very first word I uttered. Even from a very early age I loved all things automotive. My fondest childhood memories feature a car somewhere in the scene, be it a camping holiday, a trip to the countryside, sitting on my dad’s knee pretending to steer his Triumph Dolomite Sprint as we rolled around a deserted car park, or simply unwrapping a toy car on Christmas Day.
Now that I’m a grown-up, my affiliation with écurie25 Limited, the London-based supercar club, allows me to continue my love affair with exotic cars. écurie25 has a large fleet of all the latest supercars from Porsches to Astons, Bentley’s to Ferraris and Lamborghinis. écurie25 members can help themselves to around 40 days in their choice of cars in return for an all-inclusive yearly membership fee of just under £10K. The general idea of this column is that I’ll review some cars—some being the latest models, others being my favourite current models so that I get an excuse to drive them again, and others possibly older still. I’ll mix that in with the odd rant or celebration of something particularly galling/interesting going on in the world of motoring. I’d love to hear your thoughts or opinions.
